The Blaze<\/a> is reporting today that another government agency<\/a> has lost certain emails that Congress<\/a> is seeking. There seems to be an epidemic of ‘the dog ate my homework’ in Washington. The epidemic needs to stop–NOW!<\/p>\n

EPA Administrator<\/a> Gina McCarthy told Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) that the EPA is still wrestling with how to recover emails from a former EPA official based in Alaska<\/a>, who was involved in decision to block a proposed mining operation. Meadows pressed McCarthy on how progress was coming along, and McCarthy admitted there are problems.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t believe this is a missing hard drive<\/a> issue. There\u2019s a challenge getting access to the data,\u201d she said.\u00a0\u201dWe\u2019re increasingly getting information in different ways and we\u2019re taking a look at it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

McCarthy never attributed it to a computer crash, like the IRS<\/a> did in the case of Lois Lerner. Instead, she said it\u2019s a problem that involves multiple failures.<\/strong><\/p>\n

…When Meadows asked if the EPA has told the National Archives<\/a>, McCarthy said the EPA did take that step.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen did you do that?\u201d he asked.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday,\u201d McCarthy said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When did America<\/a> become a banana republic? Where is the accountability? Is Congress even aware that they are being totally dissed and their oversight committees mocked? This has got to stop.<\/p>\n
