The Daily Caller<\/a> reported yesterday that Iran<\/a>‘s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei<\/a> has stated, “Those [Iranians] who want to promote negotiation<\/a> and surrender to the oppressors<\/a> and blame the Islamic Republic<\/a> as a warmonger in reality commit treason.” He made this statement in a meeting of members of parliament.<\/p>\n

Khamenei emphasized that without a combative mindset, the regime cannot reach its higher Islamic<\/a> role against the \u201coppressors\u2019 front.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason for continuation of this battle is not the warmongering of the Islamic Republic. Logic and reason command that for Iran, in order to pass through a region full of pirates, needs to arm itself and must have the capability to defend itself,\u201d he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s world is full of thieves and plunderers of human honor, dignity and morality who are equipped with knowledge, wealth and power, and under the pretense of humanity easily commit crimes and betray human ideals and start wars in different parts of the world.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In response to a question by a parliamentarian on how long this battle will continue, Khamenei said,\u201cBattle and jihad are endless because evil and its front continue to exist. \u2026 This battle will only end when the society can get rid of the oppressors\u2019 front with America<\/a> at the head of it, which has expanded its claws on human mind<\/a>, body and thought. \u2026 This requires a difficult and lengthy struggle and need for great strides.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Iran has made the following demands in the negotiations regarding its nuclear option– the expansion of the country\u2019s research and development for its nuclear program<\/a>, the need of the country to continue enrichment, and the fact that the country\u2019s ballistic missile program \u2014 despite U.N. sanctions \u2014 is not up for negotiation.<\/p>\n

Historically, Iran has negotiated with the west regarding its nuclear program when it needed time do continue the program. These recent statements illustrate that Iran is not really interested in a negotiated solution to the threat its nuclear program poses. Iran is only interested in setting up a world-wide caliphate. If we don’t wake up soon, we will be dealing with another North Korea.<\/p>\n
