Yesterday the Washington Free Beacon<\/a> reported that Media Matters is forcing its employees to make the vote to unionize<\/a> under the Service Employees International Union<\/a> (SEIU) a secret ballot<\/a>. This is amazingly ironic. Media Matters is a liberal organization headed by David Brock<\/a>, a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

It is unclear why Media Matters did not opt to allow its employees to organize through a card check<\/a> campaign, in which a union submits signed petitions from employees expressing their interest to join the union. MMFA<\/a>, its attorneys, and the SEIU did not return requests for comment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Media Matters has a long record of slamming Republicans and conservatives who want to protect secret ballot union elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The organization published multiple<\/a> pieces celebrating the Democrat<\/a>\u2019s so-called Employee Free Choice Act<\/a>, which would make it easier for unions to organize through card check campaigns and prevent employers from forcing a secret ballot election.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Media Matters researcher Meagan Hatcher-Mays took to the organization\u2019s blog to criticize<\/a> \u201ca wave of Republican anti-union<\/a> legislation [that] has placed obstacles between workers and union representatives and disrupted opportunities for workplace productivity.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is becoming very obvious that the best way to illustrate the problems with the liberal agenda is to ask liberals to abide by their own laws.<\/p>\n
