The information about the impact was taken from a survey of the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Advanced Medical Technology Association\" href=\"http:\/\/www.advamed.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Advanced Medical Technology Association<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cAccording to the report, the tax has led to <a id=\"itxthook1\" href=\"http:\/\/washington.cbslocal.com\/2014\/02\/24\/study-33000-jobs-impacted-due-to-obamacares-medical-device-tax\/#\" rel=\"nofollow\">employment<\/a> reductions of approximately 14,000 industry workers and foregone <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Recruitment\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Recruitment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">hiring<\/a> of 19,000 workers,\u201d the study stated. \u201cThe total job impact of the tax on industry employment was approximately 33,000.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Stephen J. Ubl\" href=\"http:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/person\/stephen-j-ubl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"crunchbase\">Stephen J. Ubl<\/a>, CEO of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"AdvaMed\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/AdvaMed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">AdvaMed<\/a>, said this tax needs to be repealed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201cDuring a time when there is bipartisan support for growing <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"High tech\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/High_tech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">high-technology<\/a> manufacturing jobs, these results should serve as a wake-up call.
