Iran claims that the plant will be used to generate electricity, but the plant will also give Iran access to plutonium, which could be used to fuel a nuclear weapon. Meanwhile, Congress is trying to put new economic sanctions on Iran<\/a>, and the White House<\/a> is blocking them.<\/p>\n

However, the White House continues to pressure lawmakers to hold off on passing a new round of sanctions, arguing<\/a> that they would likely spark a war with Iran.<\/strong><\/p>\n
