{"id":20857,"date":"2013-10-29T19:27:34","date_gmt":"2013-10-29T23:27:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=20857"},"modified":"2013-10-29T19:27:35","modified_gmt":"2013-10-29T23:27:35","slug":"it-depends-on-how-you-spin-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=20857","title":{"rendered":"It Depends On How You Spin It"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s<a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/top-democrat-says-those-arent-cancellation-notices-theyre-transitions-into-obamacare\/article\/2538122\"> Washington Examiner<\/a> posted an article with a great quote.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Insurance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wikinvest.com\/industry\/Insurance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikinvest\">Insurance companies<\/a> aren&#8217;t sending out cancellation letters, they&#8217;re helping people &#8220;transition&#8221; into <a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/section\/obamacare\" target=\"_blank\">Obamacare<\/a>, according to a top <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Democratic Party (United States)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.democrats.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Democrat<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8220;If [the companies] changed [the insurance plans] then they have to notify the people who have to have the opportunity to have another policy,&#8221; said <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States House Committee on Ways and Means\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_House_Committee_on_Ways_and_Means\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">House Ways and Means Committee<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Ranking member\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ranking_member\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">ranking member<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Sander M. Levin\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sander_M._Levin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Sander Levin<\/a>, D-<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Michigan\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=44.34,-85.58&amp;spn=3.0,3.0&amp;q=44.34,-85.58 (Michigan)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Mich.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So getting cut from your healthcare <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Insurance policy\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Insurance_policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">insurance policy<\/a> means that you are being given the opportunity to &#8216;transition&#8217; to another policy. The other <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Talking point\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Talking_point\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">talking point<\/a> is that the policies that are being cancelled are being cancelled so that they can be replaced with better policies. Somehow that fact that these &#8216;better&#8217; policies include maternity care for men and senior citizens and are thus more expensive is not mentioned.
