{"id":20777,"date":"2013-10-22T05:32:07","date_gmt":"2013-10-22T09:32:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=20777"},"modified":"2013-10-22T05:32:09","modified_gmt":"2013-10-22T09:32:09","slug":"how-much-does-it-cost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=20777","title":{"rendered":"How Much Does It Cost?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ObamaCare was supposed to allow everyone in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667 (United%20States)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">America<\/a> to get <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Health insurance\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Health_insurance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">health insurance<\/a>, and it was supposed to lower the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Cost\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">cost<\/a> of health insurance for everyone. So far that is not the case.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redstate.com\/matthewclark\/2013\/10\/21\/obamacare-could-cost-my-family-over-50000-a-year-in-premiums\/\">RedState<\/a> posted an article about the cost of insuring a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Family (biology)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Family_%28biology%29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">family<\/a> under ObamaCare. It&#8217;s not a pretty picture.<\/p>\n<p>The article tells the story of one man&#8217;s search for healthcare on the website for ObamaCare:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>First, I decided to look at the low-tier, catastrophic coverage, under ObamaCare.\u00a0 This should typically be the cheapest plan per month.\u00a0 Yet one option would have cost my family over $50,000 a year in premiums.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>My first thought was maybe this was just a mistake, another technical \u201cglitch\u201d in the website.\u00a0 So I kept looking.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Here are a few more of the plans I found, costing as much a $4,910 a MONTH in premiums.\u00a0 That\u2019s nearly $58,920 a year for a family of five.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When I looked at the chart, I thought it showed yearly premiums, in which case the numbers would be reasonable. However, the chart below shows <strong><em>MONTHLY<\/em><\/strong> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Insurance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wikinvest.com\/industry\/Insurance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikinvest\">insurance premiums<\/a> for basic policies under ObamaCare.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Heathcare.gov\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/obamacare-website.jpg\" width=\"538\" height=\"568\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m hoping we can end ObamaCare before it bankrupts America and the American people. The best way to do that is to elect people who oppose it in the next election cycle.
