Breitbart.com<\/a> is reporting today that the federal government has closed the ocean due to the government shutdown<\/a>. Yes, you read that right.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

Just before the weekend, the National Park Service<\/a> informed charter boat captains<\/a> in Florida<\/a> that the Florida Bay<\/a> was “closed” due to the shutdown. Until government funding<\/a> is restored, the fishing boats<\/a> are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean<\/a>. Fishing is also prohibited at Biscayne National Park<\/a> during the shutdown.<\/h2>\n

The Park Service will also have rangers on duty to police the ban. ..The government will probably use more personnel and spend more resources to attempt to close the ocean, than it would in its normal course of business.<\/strong><\/p>\n

…Apparently, according to an anonymous Park Service ranger<\/a>, \u201cWe\u2019ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It\u2019s disgusting.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please remember that the President is the one who determines where money is spent during the shutdown.<\/p>\n
