He appears on the Hugh Hewitt radio show on Salem Network on Fridays at 8:55 pm eastern time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>HOPE AND CHANGE REVISITED<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I feel like such a dope<br \/>\nI thought it was the hope<br \/>\nJust like the pundits told us<br \/>\nOur aspirations sold us<br \/>\nBut clearly, truth to tell<br \/>\nHope\u2019s a thing ALL politicians sell<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">So as involved persuasion<br \/>\nHope was only part of the equation<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">And in this double feature<br \/>\nChange is quite a different creature<br \/>\nNow even on vacation<br \/>\nThe leader of our nation<br \/>\nIs starting to perceive<br \/>\nChange is somewhat harder to achieve<br \/>\nAs scientist all say<br \/>\nAn object that\u2019s at rest tends to stay that way<br \/>\nPlus when the dust is cleared<br \/>\nHope is always welcome<br \/>\nChange is often feared<br \/>\nSure I want a brand new phone<br \/>\nBut I\u2019ll stay in my comfort zone<br \/>\nAnd seeing what\u2019s occurred<br \/>\nChange has been delayed, waived and deferred<br \/>\nWith laws subject to erasure<br \/>\nChange may come\u2026but slower than a glacier<br \/>\nAnd though the goal was laudable<br \/>\nIt\u2019s taking more than hope<br \/>\nTo make health care affordable<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following poem was written by Tarzana Joe.
