The provision allows <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Espionage\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Espionage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">government agents<\/a> to engage in &#8220;home health visits&#8221; for those in certain \u201chigh-risk\u201d categories. Doesn&#8217;t sound too ominous until you look at the &#8220;high-risk&#8221; categories.<\/p>\n<p>The article lists the categories:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u2022 <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Family\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Family\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Families<\/a> where mom is not yet 21;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Families where someone is a tobacco user;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Families where children have low student achievement, <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Specific developmental disorder\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Specific_developmental_disorder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">developmental delays<\/a>, or disabilities, and<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u2022 Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces, including such families that have members of the armed forces who have had multiple deployments outside the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=38.8833333333,-77.0166666667 (United%20States)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">United States<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Missing from the list given in the article is families with firearms, but that is now included in the questions your doctor is supposed to ask you.<\/p>\n<p>The article explains how this program will totally invade the privacy of Americans and undermine the authority of American parents:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Constitutional attorney and author Kent Masterson Brown said that despite what HHS says, the program is not \u201cvoluntary.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8220;The <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Entity classification election\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Entity_classification_election\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">eligible entity<\/a> receiving the grant for performing the home visits is to identify the individuals to be visited and intervene so as to meet the improvement benchmarks,&#8221; he said. &#8220;A homeschooling family, for instance, may be subject to &#8216;intervention&#8217; in &#8216;school readiness&#8217; and &#8216;social-emotional developmental indicators.&#8217; A farm family may be subject to &#8216;intervention&#8217; in order to &#8216;prevent child injuries.&#8217; The sky is the limit.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Joshua Cook said that while the administration would claim the program only applies to those on <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Medicaid\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Medicaid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Medicaid<\/a>, the new law, by its own definition, has no such limitation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8220;Intervention,&#8221; he added, quoting Brown, &#8220;may be with any family for any reason. It may also result in the child or children being required to go to certain schools or taking certain medications and vaccines and even having more limited \u2013 or no \u2013 interaction with parents. The federal government will now set the standards for <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Parenting\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Parenting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">raising children<\/a> and will enforce them by home visits.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Health and Human Services Department has allocated $224 million for these home visits.<\/p>\n<p>This needs to be stopped before it begins.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">\n<div class=\"zemanta-pixie\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; height: 15px;\"><a class=\"zemanta-pixie-a\" title=\"Enhanced by Zemanta\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zemanta.com\/?px\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"zemanta-pixie-img\" style=\"border: none; float: right;\" alt=\"Enhanced by Zemanta\" src=\"http:\/\/img.zemanta.com\/zemified_e.png?x-id=73316def-4116-4be7-9b2c-119d83332d9f\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday The Examiner posted an article about a provision of ObamaCare that has not gotten a lot of publicity.
