National Review<\/a> posted a story today about the call centers being set up to help Americans<\/a> work through the changes in their healthcare insurance<\/a> that will occur on October 1. These call centers will be accessible 24 hours every day.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

One branch of that call center will be located in\u00a0California<\/a>\u2019s Contra Costa County<\/a>, where, reportedly<\/a>, 7,000 people applied for the 204\u00a0jobs. According to the Contra Costa Times<\/a><\/em>, however, \u201cabout half the jobs are part-time, with no health benefits \u2014 a stinging disappointment to workers and local politicians who believed the positions would be full-time.\u201d The county supervisor, Karen Mitchoff, called the hiring process \u201ca comedy of errors\u201d and said she \u201cnever dreamed [the jobs]\u00a0would be part-time.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

ObamaCare<\/a> is one piece of bad news after another. Even the people who will help Americans access health insurance will be working limited hours so that their employees do not have to provide health insurance. Amazing.<\/p>\n

Hot Air<\/a> reported today that the National Treasury Employees Union<\/a> (the union of the Internal Revenue Service<\/a>) has indicated that it does not want to be covered under ObamaCare. The IRS employees are covered under the same health insurance coverage as other government employees, and they do not want to go into ObamaCare.<\/p>\n

The article reports:<\/p>\n

This is the agency that will be collecting data on you and, if you\u2019re not in compliance, levying the penalties and collecting them. \u00a0But under ObamaCare, they have the misfortune of having a \u201cCadillac plan<\/a>\u201d. \u00a0Currently their health care insurance is provided through the\u00a0Federal Employees Health Benefits Program<\/a>, the same program which covers members of Congress. \u00a0Naturally Congress has exempted themselves from the law.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first requirement of ObamaCare should be that politicians and federal employees should not be allowed to be exempt from it. If it is good enough for us average Americans, it should be good enough for the political class.<\/p>\n

ObamaCare will not be repealed under President Obama no matter how unpopular it is. If you want to get rid of this awful law, the only way it will happen is if the Republicans control the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Presidency. Otherwise, like death and taxes–it is forever.<\/p>\n
