{"id":19030,"date":"2013-06-02T18:41:01","date_gmt":"2013-06-02T22:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=19030"},"modified":"2013-06-02T18:41:01","modified_gmt":"2013-06-02T22:41:01","slug":"about-that-election-fraud-thing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=19030","title":{"rendered":"About That Election Fraud Thing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Ed Morrissey\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ed_Morrissey\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Ed Morrissey<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2013\/06\/01\/house-dem-top-aide-resigns-in-ballot-fraud-scandal\/\">Hot Air<\/a> reported that <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Miami-Dade County, Florida\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=25.7666666667,-80.2&amp;spn=1.0,1.0&amp;q=25.7666666667,-80.2 (Miami-Dade%20County%2C%20Florida)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Miami-Dade<\/a> investigators busted a ring of Democrats for attempting to push hundreds of fraudulent <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Absentee ballot\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Absentee_ballot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">absentee-ballot<\/a> requests in the 2012 election. The case reached the inner circle of at least one <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Democratic Party (United States)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.democrats.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Democrat<\/a> Congressman and possibly two.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Jeffrey Garcia\" href=\"http:\/\/www.therealjeffgarcia.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Jeffrey Garcia<\/a>, chief of staff for Congressman <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Joe Garcia\" href=\"http:\/\/garcia.house.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Joe Garcia<\/a> (no relation), was asked to resign after being involved in a scheme that requested hundreds of fraudulent absentee ballot requests.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Garcia didn\u2019t just work to defeat Rivera, who had ethics issues that made his re-election dicey at best. \u00a0He also worked to defeat <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Allen West (politician)\" href=\"http:\/\/west.house.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Allen West<\/a>, who <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/election\/2012\/results\/state\/FL\/house\" target=\"_blank\">lost by less than 2,000 votes<\/a> and who <a href=\"http:\/\/hotair.com\/archives\/2012\/11\/20\/allen-west-concedes\/\" target=\"_blank\">complained about voter fraud at the time<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>America works when elections are fair and people have confidence in them. Election fraud or attempted <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Electoral fraud\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Electoral_fraud\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">election fraud<\/a> should be met with stiff penalties in order to discourage it from happening. It is quite possible that the defeat of Allen West was not done by an honest election.
