{"id":17347,"date":"2013-01-29T08:47:16","date_gmt":"2013-01-29T13:47:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=17347"},"modified":"2013-01-29T08:47:16","modified_gmt":"2013-01-29T13:47:16","slug":"our-legal-system-turned-upside-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=17347","title":{"rendered":"Our Legal System Turned Upside Down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbn.com\/cbnnews\/us\/2013\/January\/Federal-Court-Strikes-Down-Ind-Sex-Offender-Law\/\">CBN News<\/a> reported yesterday that\u00a07th U.S. Circuit of Appeals in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Chicago\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=41.8819444444,-87.6277777778&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=41.8819444444,-87.6277777778 (Chicago)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Chicago<\/a> has struck down an <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Indiana\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=40.0,-86.0&amp;spn=3.0,3.0&amp;q=40.0,-86.0 (Indiana)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Indiana<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Law\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">law<\/a> that bars <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Sex offender\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sex_offender\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">sex offenders<\/a> from using <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"List of social networking websites\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_social_networking_websites\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">social networking websites<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"American Civil Liberties Union\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aclu.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">American Civil Liberties Union<\/a> filed the suit on behalf of sex offenders, including a man who served three years for child exploitation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Supporters of the law have stated that they will work to put together a new law that will get past the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Appellate court\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Appellate_court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Court of Appeals<\/a>. It should be noted that the law did not forbid sex offenders from using the Internet&#8211;the restriction was only only on the use of social networking websites.
