{"id":1722,"date":"2010-03-24T13:23:22","date_gmt":"2010-03-24T13:23:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=1722"},"modified":"2010-03-24T13:23:22","modified_gmt":"2010-03-24T13:23:22","slug":"lawsuits_against_the_healthcar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=1722","title":{"rendered":"Lawsuits Against The Healthcare Bill"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/blog-briefing-room\/news\/88571-thirteen-states-file-lawsuit-against-healthcare-bill\">The Hill&#8217;s Blog Briefing Room<\/a>&nbsp;reported that thirteen states have filed lawsuits against the recently passed healthcare reform bill.&nbsp; Attorneys General from Florida, South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Michigan, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Utah, Washington, Idaho and South Dakota have all filed suits.&nbsp; They have filed these suits on the basis that the bill is unconstitutional.&nbsp; This is the link to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scag.gov\/newsroom\/pdf\/2010\/healthcare.pdf\">pdf file of the lawsuit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The article states:<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p><em>&#8220;The suit specifically claims that the Medicaid expansion, individual mandates to buy health insurance and several tax provisions <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scag.gov\/newsroom\/pdf\/2010\/healthcare.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" mce_href=\"http:\/\/www.scag.gov\/newsroom\/pdf\/2010\/healthcare.pdf\"><em>violate various clauses<\/em><\/a><em> in the Constitution.
