When I first read this, I thought it was a joke. Evidently it is not. Thomas.gov<\/a> confirms that it is not (because Thomas.gov does not retain links, you have to type in the bill number to see this):<\/p>\n

Any member of the House of Representatives or the Senate<\/a> who votes for this should be removed from office in their next election campaign.<\/p>\n

NOTE: This is not as bad as it looks–evidently he has offered this resolution in every new session of the House of Representatives since 1997. I am just uncomfortable that with the level of honesty and transparency in the current administration, they may actually try to pass this. Also note that as of this time there are no co-sponsors.<\/p>\n
