Meanwhile, back at the ranch&#8230; Today&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.weeklystandard.com\/blogs\/obama-orders-raise-biden-members-congress-federal-workers_692223.html\">Weekly Standard<\/a> is reporting that <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.biography.com\/people\/barack-obama-12782369\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"biographycom\">President Obama<\/a> has issued an <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Executive order\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Executive_order\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">executive order<\/a> ending the pay freeze on federal employees, thus giving a pay raise to <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Jospeh Robinette Biden, Jr.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.biography.com\/people\/joe-biden-39995\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"biographycom\">Vice-President Biden<\/a> and members of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Congress\" href=\"http:\/\/www.house.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage\">Congress<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The pay raises are not large, but it does seem odd that at a time when government spending is spiraling out of control, the government is giving out raises to government workers.
