Obituary printed in the London<\/a> Times…..Absolutely Brilliant !!<\/p>\n

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense<\/a> ,
\nwho has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure
\nhow old he was, since his birth records<\/a> were long ago lost in<\/h5>\n

bureaucratic red tape<\/a>. He will be remembered as having cultivated
\nsuch valuable lessons as:<\/p>\n

– Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
\n– Why the early bird gets the worm;
\n– Life isn’t always fair;
\n– And maybe it was my fault.<\/p>\n

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies<\/a> (don’t spend more
\nthan you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).<\/p>\n

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned butoverbearing
\nregulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual
\nharassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using
\nmouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student,
\nonly worsened his condition.<\/p>\n

Common Sense lost ground when parents<\/a> attacked teachers for doing the job
\nthat they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.<\/p>\n

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental
\nconsent to administer sun lotion<\/a> or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform
\nparents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.<\/p>\n

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and
\ncriminals received better treatment than their victims.<\/p>\n

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar
\nin your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.<\/p>\n

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that
\na steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly
\nawarded a huge settlement.<\/p>\n

Common Sense was preceded in death,
\n-by his parents, Truth and Trust,
\n-by his wife, Discretion,
\n-by his daughter, Responsibility,
\n-and by his son, Reason<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;
\n– I Know My Rights
\n– I Want It Now
\n– Someone Else Is To Blame
\n– I’m A Victim
\n– Pay me for Doing Nothing<\/p>\n

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.<\/p>\n
