Well, it seems that North Carolina is not the only place where voting machines have a mind of their own.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marionstar.com\/article\/20121031\/NEWS03\/310310009\/Problem-found-board-elections?nclick_check=1\">Marion Star<\/a> is reporting today that a voting machine in <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Marion, Ohio\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=40.5866666667,-83.1263888889&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=40.5866666667,-83.1263888889 (Marion%2C%20Ohio)&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation\" target=\"_blank\">Marion, Ohio<\/a>, showed a vote for President Obama when the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Voting\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Voting\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">voter<\/a> voted for Governor Romney.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Joan Stevens was one of several early voters at the polls on Monday. But when Stevens tried to cast her ballot for president, she noticed a problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Upon selecting \u201c<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Willard Mitt Romney\" href=\"http:\/\/www.biography.com\/people\/mitt-romney-241055\" rel=\"biographycom\" target=\"_blank\">Mitt Romney<\/a>\u201d on the electronic <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Touchscreen\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Touchscreen\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">touch screen<\/a>, <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.biography.com\/people\/barack-obama-12782369\" rel=\"biographycom\" target=\"_blank\">Barack Obama<\/a>\u2019s name lit up.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>It took Stevens three tries before her selection was accurately recorded.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So if you are not paying attention, it would be very easy for your vote to be recorded incorrectly.
