This is a video of a CBS<\/a> interview of one of the security people withdrawn from Libya in August:<\/p>\n

The interview was posted at Hot Air <\/a>yesterday. It is becoming obvious that the State Department<\/a> cut security at the embassy<\/a> at a time when it was needed.<\/p>\n

One State Department source tells CBS News<\/a> the security teams weren\u2019t \u201cpulled,\u201d that their mission was simply over.<\/strong><\/p>\n

State Department officials have told CBS News that Wood was not part of the security assessment in Benghazi<\/a> and that his assignment to Tripoli<\/a> means he was unfamiliar with the local situation in the smaller port city<\/a> in the country\u2019s east.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wood, however, says some of the members of his own team and additional personnel from the State Department\u2019s elite security detail \u2013 the two teams which left Libya in August \u2013 would have traveled to Benghazi with Ambassador Stevens had they still been in the country. He did not say how many additional security agents<\/a> might have been deployed for the Ambassador\u2019s trip to the city, which is at least 400 miles east of Tripoli, but he tells Attkisson that he\u2019s wondered if it might have made a difference on the night of the attack.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This really looks as if the State Department had no idea of what was going on in Libya.<\/p>\n
