One of the aspects of ObamaCare is the end of the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Medicare (United States)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Medicare_%28United_States%29\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Medicare<\/a> Advantage program&#8211;the favorite program of senior citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The article at <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Forbes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\" rel=\"homepage\" target=\"_blank\">Forbes<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Not only did AARP succeed in getting <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Democratic Party (United States)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.democrats.org\/\" rel=\"homepage\" target=\"_blank\">Democrats<\/a> to balk at <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Medigap\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Medigap\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Medigap<\/a> reform. Obamacare\u2019s cuts to Medicare Advantage will drive many seniors out of that program, and into traditional government-run Medicare, which will increase the number of people who need Medigap insurance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>It gets worse. AARP Medigap plans are exempted from most of Obamacare\u2019s best-known insurance mandates. AARP Medigap plans are exempted from the ban that requires insurers to take all comers, regardless of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Pre-existing condition\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Pre-existing_condition\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">pre-existing conditions<\/a>. The plans are exempted from the $500,000 cap on <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Insurance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wikinvest.com\/industry\/Insurance\" rel=\"wikinvest\" target=\"_blank\">insurance industry<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Executive pay\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Executive_pay\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">executive compensation<\/a>; top AARP executives currently make more than $1 million. AARP plans are exempt from the premium tax levied on other private insurers. <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Independent Payment Advisory Board\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Independent_Payment_Advisory_Board\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">IPAB<\/a>, Medicare\u2019s rationing board, is explicitly barred from altering Medicare\u2019s cost-sharing provisions, provisions that govern the existence of Medigap plans.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>And AARP Medigap plans are allowed to have twice the administrative costs that other private insurers are allowed under Obamacare\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/aroy\/2011\/12\/06\/obamacares-mlr-bomb-will-create-private-insurance-monopolies-and-drive-premiums-skyward-hallelujah\/\">medical loss ratio regulations<\/a>. This last point is key, because AARP\u2019s 4.95 percent royalty is a significant administrative cost.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of the most corrupt administrations in American history has ruined American healthcare.
