{"id":15193,"date":"2012-08-23T17:50:23","date_gmt":"2012-08-23T21:50:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=15193"},"modified":"2012-08-23T17:50:23","modified_gmt":"2012-08-23T21:50:23","slug":"what-voter-fraud-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=15193","title":{"rendered":"What Voter Fraud ?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday the<a href=\"http:\/\/news.providencejournal.com\/breaking-news\/2012\/08\/providence-ri---115.html\"> Providence (RI) Journal<\/a> posted a story and video clip concerning a press conference held by Congressional candidate Anthony Gemma, charging <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Electoral fraud\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Electoral_fraud\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">voter fraud<\/a> in past <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Rhode Island\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=41.7,-71.5&amp;spn=1.0,1.0&amp;q=41.7,-71.5%20%28Rhode%20Island%29&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation\" target=\"_blank\">Rhode Island<\/a> elections.<\/p>\n<p>This is the video of the press conference:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TpHkZBEUAvs\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"518\" height=\"309\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Mr. Gemma explained that he had hired <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trpassociates.net\/index.htm\">TRP Associates<\/a>, a detective agency run by three retired <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"State police\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/State_police\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">state troopers<\/a>, to investigate voter fraud in recent Rhode Island elections.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Gemma contends an investigation he initiated by retired state troopers found evidence of people being paid to vote for certain candidates, people <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Voting\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Voting\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">voting<\/a> multiple times at different voting places and people who impersonated other voters.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Speaking at an outdoor press conference near his headquarters, Gemma called <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"David Cicilline\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cicilline.com\/\" rel=\"homepage\" target=\"_blank\">Cicilline<\/a> the &#8220;common denominator&#8221; through most of the evidence, some of which dates to 2002.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The findings, Gemma said, are not &#8220;run-of-the-mill dirty politics&#8221; or &#8220;gossip, but evidence of conduct that compromises the very core of our electoral process.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8230;Gemma says he has met with the head of the state police Col. Steven G. O&#8217;Donnell to discuss the evidence. Gemma said he also turned over information to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Federal Bureau of Investigation\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.894465,-77.024503&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=38.894465,-77.024503%20%28Federal%20Bureau%20of%20Investigation%29&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation\" target=\"_blank\">FBI<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are a few things to remember here. These charges are being made in the heat of a Democrat <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Primary election\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Primary_election\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Party primary<\/a> election campaign. That means that the charges should be examined carefully, but it doesn&#8217;t mean that they should be dismissed out of hand. Rhode Island is a one-party state&#8211;Democrat.
