T<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/stories\/federal-court-halts-contraception-mandate\/\">he Blaze<\/a> reported yesterday that a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States federal courts\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_federal_courts\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Federal court<\/a> has upheld a lawsuit against the controversial contraception mandate, filed by <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Catholic Church\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Catholic_Church\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Catholic<\/a>-owned employer Hercules Industries.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday I posted an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=14810\">article<\/a> about Hercules Industries and their right to reflect their religious beliefs in their corporate policies. The <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Department of Justice\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.89325,-77.0249722222&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=38.89325,-77.0249722222%20%28United%20States%20Department%20of%20Justice%29&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation\" target=\"_blank\">Justice Department<\/a> denied them that right and they have <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Appeal\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Appeal\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">appealed<\/a> to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_Court_of_Appeals_for_the_Tenth_Circuit\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals<\/a>, which covers <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Colorado\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=39.0,-105.5&amp;spn=3.0,3.0&amp;q=39.0,-105.5%20%28Colorado%29&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation\" target=\"_blank\">Colorado<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2012\/07\/27\/obama-hhs-abortion-mandate-halted-by-federal-court\/\">LifeNews.com<\/a> reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>A federal court issued an order Friday that halts enforcement of the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Obama administration\" href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/obama-administration\" rel=\"homepage\" target=\"_blank\">Obama administration<\/a>\u2019s abortion pill mandate against a Colorado <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Family business\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Family_business\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">family-owned business<\/a> while an Alliance Defending Freedom lawsuit challenging the mandate continues in court.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8230;Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys obtained the first-ever order against the mandate on behalf of Hercules Industries and the Catholic family that owns it. The administration opposed the order, arguing, contrary to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Constitution\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_States_Constitution\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Constitution<\/a>, that people of faith forfeit their religious liberty once they engage in business.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The decision only applies to the company, and the court emphasized the ruling did not apply nationwide.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is good news. Federal judges had dismissed two other lawsuits against the contraception mandate.
