{"id":14433,"date":"2012-06-25T16:47:16","date_gmt":"2012-06-25T20:47:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=14433"},"modified":"2012-06-25T16:47:16","modified_gmt":"2012-06-25T20:47:16","slug":"the-tax-changes-in-obamacare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=14433","title":{"rendered":"The Tax Changes In Obamacare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.weeklystandard.com\/blogs\/largest-set-tax-law-changes-20-years_647741.html\">Weekly Standard<\/a>\u00a0posted an article about the impact of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Patient_Protection_and_Affordable_Care_Act\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Obamacare<\/a> on the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Tax law\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tax_law\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Tax Code<\/a>. The article quotes a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United States Department of the Treasury\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=38.8983333333,-77.0341666667&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=38.8983333333,-77.0341666667 (United%20States%20Department%20of%20the%20Treasury)&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation\" target=\"_blank\">Treasury Department<\/a> that describes Obamacare as \u201crepresents the largest set of tax law changes in more than 20 years and affects millions of taxpayers.\u201d\u00a0The report further states that Obamacare\u2019s \u201cnew taxes, fees, and penalties account for approximately $438 billion.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That is a conservative estimate.<\/p>\n<p>The article reports:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>&#8230;that $438 billion in new taxes, fees, and penalties on Americans and American businesses is just the tally through 2019 \u2014 at which point Obamacare would really have been in effect for only six years (2014-19), not the ten years that are the norm for government scoring.\u00a0 On an annual basis, Obamacare\u2019s taxes, fees, and penalties (according to that same official estimate) would increase from $48 billion in 2014 to $88 billion in 2019, rising between 9 and 26 percent per year (depending upon the year) \u2014 with no end in sight.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>The article points out that the only job creation due to Obamacare is in the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Internal Revenue Service\" href=\"http:\/\/www.irs.gov\/\" rel=\"homepage\" target=\"_blank\">IRS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I would like to remind everyone at this point that Obamacare was passed without one single Republican vote. The Republicans were given no input into the bill at all.
