{"id":13861,"date":"2012-05-13T19:46:27","date_gmt":"2012-05-13T23:46:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=13861"},"modified":"2012-05-13T19:46:27","modified_gmt":"2012-05-13T23:46:27","slug":"ridiculous-law-enforcement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=13861","title":{"rendered":"Ridiculous Law Enforcement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I generally find myself of the side of the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Law\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Law\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">law<\/a>, and sometimes even on the side of the government, but sometimes when it comes to law enforcement, common sense takes a vacation.<\/p>\n<p>This is a video of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/2012\/05\/10\/stuffed-wolverine-red-tailed-hawk-removed-from-california-bar\/?test=latestnews\">Fox News report<\/a>\u00a0about some <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Stuffed toy\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stuffed_toy\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">stuffed animals<\/a> removed from a <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"California\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=37.0,-120.0&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=37.0,-120.0 (California)&amp;t=h\" rel=\"geolocation\" target=\"_blank\">California<\/a> bar. Employees of the bar stated that the animals involved had both been on the wall at the bar for possibly fifty years.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/widget.newsinc.com\/single.html?WID=2&amp;VID=23622054&amp;freewheel=69016&amp;sitesection=ktxl\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"425\" height=\"320\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It seems as if the animals involved are illegal to own in California whether they are dead or alive. The obvious questions is, &#8220;Were they dead before the law was passed, and if so, does the law still apply?&#8221; From what I could find out, the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Endangered Species Act\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Endangered_Species_Act\" rel=\"wikipedia\" target=\"_blank\">Endangered Species Act<\/a> was passed in 1973. If these animals have been on the wall for 50 years, then they have been there since 1962.
