{"id":1193,"date":"2009-09-19T05:53:45","date_gmt":"2009-09-19T05:53:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=1193"},"modified":"2009-09-19T05:53:45","modified_gmt":"2009-09-19T05:53:45","slug":"the_danger_of_legislating_in_t","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=1193","title":{"rendered":"The Danger Of Legislating In The Courts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tulsaworld.com\/site\/printerfriendlystory.aspx?articleid=20090918_11_A11_Apopul517991\">Tulsa World<\/a>&nbsp;is reporting on a lawsuit in Oklahoma that may have national implications.&nbsp; A teenager was refused a job at <font style=\"FONT-SIZE: 1em\" size=\"3\">Abercrombie &amp; Fitch because she wore <font color=\"#3a3939\" size=\"2\">a hijab, a religiously mandated head scarf.<\/font><font size=\"3\">&nbsp; <font style=\"FONT-SIZE: 0.8em\">A district manager allegedly told her that the hijab, which Elauf wears in observance of her religious beliefs, did not fit the store&#8217;s image.&nbsp; The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)-Oklahoma helped her file a complaint with the U. S.
