{"id":1086,"date":"2009-08-13T17:29:14","date_gmt":"2009-08-13T17:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=1086"},"modified":"2009-08-13T17:29:14","modified_gmt":"2009-08-13T17:29:14","slug":"sometimes_we_all_say_dumb_thin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rightwinggranny.com\/?p=1086","title":{"rendered":"Sometimes We All Say Dumb Things, But Political Figures Need To Think Carefully Before They Speak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, one of the blogs at the <a href=\"http:\/\/community.detnews.com\/apps\/blogs\/henrypayneblog\/index.php?blogid=2041\">Detroit News<\/a> reported that Senator Debbie Stabenow (D., Mich.),  recently appointed to the Senate Energy Committee, stated that:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>&#8220;Climate change is very real,&#8221; she confessed as she embraced cap and<br \/>\ntrade&#8217;s massive tax increase on Michigan industry &#8211; at the same time<br \/>\nclaiming, against all the evidence, that it would not lead to an<br \/>\nincrease in manufacturing costs or energy prices. &#8220;Global warming<br \/>\ncreates volatility. I feel it when I&#8217;m flying. The storms are more<br \/>\nvolatile.
