Sounds like a pretty obvious question–until you realize that Congress opted out of Social Security, then started taking money from the program while increasing the amount of money ordinary Americans pay into the system. They are about to do something similar with healthcare. <\/p>\n
Representative John Fleming of Louisiana is drafting legislation to force Congress to live under the laws they pass. His website, fleming.house.gov<\/a>, posts the following:<\/p>\n “Under the current draft of the Democrat healthcare legislation, members of Congress are curiously exempt from the government-run health care option, keeping their existing health plans and services on Capitol Hill. If Members of Congress believe so strongly that government-run health care is the best solution for hard working American families, I think it only fitting that Americans see them lead the way.
