Sometimes It’s Embarrassing To Live In Massachusetts

According to CNS News, Barney Frank (Democrat Congressman from Massachusetts) told a reporter after the President’s speech, “I don’t think we found any Republican minds today. They shut their minds down. They are so afraid of being yelled at by Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity they won’t even clap for him [Obama], even when they agree with him.  They are literally afraid to deal with him,” said Frank. “Outside of Arlen Specter and the Maine senators, and a handful of others, they are all terrified of the iron discipline of the radio talk show hosts.  I think they are frustrated by how effective he [Obama] is that they are not open to him,” said Frank.

What world is this man living in?  Has he totally discounted the possibility that everyone may not agree with what President Obama is doing with our money?  I watched the speech Tuesday night–there was Republican applause in areas where there was agreement.  Most of us agree that children should finish high school.  Republicans also expressed support for the idea of rebuilding our economy–they just disagreed on how to do it!
