The Consequences Of Too Much Government

This chart was taken from Power Line.  It shows clearly where the job growth has been.

The chart was part of an article about Vice-President Biden’s visit to a custard shop in Wisconsin.  When the owner of the shop gave the Vice-President a custard, the Vice-President asked how much he owed.  The owner of the shop replied, “Nothing, just lower our taxes.”  That is the cry of the small business owners who would like to hire people and turn the recession around.  Businesses are not hiring right now because of the uncertainty in what their tax burdens and health insurance costs are going to be in the near future.  Unless the runaway spending by Congress is stopped, the private sector (where the jobs that produce things and fuel economic growth are produced) will be crowded out as the federal government grows.

If you want to see the recession end and private sector jobs recover, vote Republican in 2010–the Democrats will not stop spending.
