An Offer I Hope Will Be Refused

John Hinderaker at Power Line reported yesterday that Iran's Revolutionary Guard are ready to provide a military escort for ships attempting to break the blockade of Gaza by Israel.

The article concludes:

"The prospect of a Revolutionary Guards escort tells you all you need to know about the "peace and freedom convoys." If Iran follows through on this threat, it would seem that the prospect of war will become very real. One wonders what could have happened on the international scene over the last sixteen months to embolden Iran to threaten such a provocation."

When America has a weak President (or a President who appears weak), the world is less safe.  I am not sure who said that, but it appears to be true.  A President who has not stood strong on America's support for Israel also seems to be a problem.

Iran would love a war between Israel and anyone this summer.  As Iran completes its development of a nuclear bomb, it needs to divert the attention of the world from that program.  Anyone's war with Israel will do.  Because world opinion (fed by Arab propaganda) tends to be against Israel (even when they defend themselves), this would be the perfect diversion.  Unfortunately, a lot of innocent people will be harmed in the process.

If you are a praying person reading this, please pray.
